Editors Note: The following is a guest-post by esthetician Natasha Allen of Rain City Beauty Bar. RCBB’s services are available for booking through our website using the same “Book Now” button you would use to book a massage. While her services are available in the same place as The Good Life Massage and can be booked through the same website, RCBB does not honor GLM credit or promotions and vice-versa.
My name is Natasha Allen. I’m a licensed esthetician and certified lash artist. I specialize in custom lash extensions, but I also offer facial and body waxing.
What are custom eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are individual, synthetic lashes that look just like your own natural lash hairs. They are perfect for giving you fuller, curvier, and longer lashes.
Eyelash extensions are not simply the common strip-lashes or three-pronged cluster lashes. Instead, they are applied carefully and one-by-one, isolating each individual eyelash with tweezers and following the natural line of the eye.
Do I have to keep coming back to have it done?
It depends on how long you want them. This service is semi-permanent and the longevity is dependent on the client following the after-care advice at home.
The human eyelash grows for about 30 days and rests for around 60 days. After this they start to naturally fall out, and a new growth cycle begins.
In order to keep your lash extensions full and looking great, simple maintenance or “in-fill” appointments are required typically every 2-3 weeks and only take 60-90 minutes. For best results, continuing in-fills are necessary because, like your fingernails and the hair on your head, your individual eyelashes grow out on a continuous cycle of replenishment.
Custom eyelash extensions are also perfect for special occasions, such as weddings, vacations, and photo shoots.
Are they safe?
If applied correctly and properly, they are safe and do not ruin the health of your natural lashes.
What’s the bottom line?
I offer a full classic set for $150. Mention The Good Life Massage newsletter or this blog post and I will take $30 off your first full set.
I will also take $5 off any first-time waxing service through September 2015.
